Abstract
Infant growth and development are important aspects of child health, which can be monitored through routine height and weight measurements. However, manual methods that are still commonly used often face challenges, such as timeconsuming processes and inefficient recording. This study aims to design and implement a smart digital scale based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology that can automatically measure infant height and weight, store data into a database, and display results in real-time via a website. This system was developed using an ESP32 microcontroller, HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, load cell sensor, HX711 module, and LCD. Data from infant height and weight measurements are automatically sent to a website-based platform for health monitoring. Test results show an average error rate of 0.98% for the ultrasonic sensor and 0.29% for the load cell sensor, with a time efficiency of 80.06% compared to the manual method. This smart digital scale provides an efficient and accurate solution for monitoring infant growth, while detecting early indications of health problems more easily and quickly.
