Abstract

This study examines the problem of debtors who commit defaults in the context of unsecured credit agreements at Bank BRI KC Pekanbaru Sudirman. Unsecured Credit is one of the products provided at Bank BRI KC Pekanbaru Sudirman which aims to help the community in their loan needs. The main problem of this study is what is the factor in the occurrence of defaults of unsecured debtors at Bank BRI KC Pekanbaru Sudirman and how the process of resolving defaults of debtors without collateral at Bank BRI KC Pekanbaru Sudirman. The research method used in this study is Observational Research is by way of survey, research that is carried out directly into the field to obtain the data needed in this research by means of interviews that are directly linked to the law and the opinions of experts and the basis for the agreement. The results of this study can be concluded that the factors that cause the debtor's default on the unsecured credit agreement at Bank BRI KC Pekanbaru Sudirman are the first is the termination of work or default experienced by the debtor at work and the second is a decrease in salary or income due to work problems carried out by the debtor at work. With the settlement of default made by the debtor against unsecured loans, it is in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
