Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of Bokashi Babadotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) and Eco-ezyme on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants (Capsicum frutenscens L.). This research was carried out in the experimental garden of Riau Islamic University, Jalan Pasir Putih Km 22, Baru Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency. This research was carried out for 5 months, starting June-October 2022. The design used was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is bokashi babadotan with 4 levels, namely: 0, 60, 120 and 180 g/plant and the second factor is eco-enzyme with 4 levels, namely: 0, 10, 20 and 30 ml/l. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of productive branches, stem diameter, number of fruit per plant, weight of fruit per plant and number of remaining fruit from the plant. The observation data was analyzed statistically and further tested for BNJ 5%. The results showed that the interaction of bokashi and eco-enzyme had a significant effect on productive branches, the number of fruit per plant, the weight of the fruit per plant and the number of remaining fruit. The best treatment is a combination of bokashi babadotan 180 g/plant and eco-enzyme 30 ml/l. The main effect of bokashi babadotan on all observed parameters of the best treatment was a concentration of 180g/plant. The main effect of eco-enzyme was significant on the observed parameters with the best dose of 30 ml/l.
