Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of grade X students towards the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at State High School 3 Siak Hulu. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a population of all grade X students of State High School 3 Siak Hulu in the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a sample size of 65 respondents. The data collection technique in this study was using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the percentage index formula. The results of the study showed that overall the percentage of Class X Students' Perceptions of the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu was 71,38% and was included in the Fairly Good category. The indicator with the highest score is students' understanding of the statement that students are given the opportunity to express creative ideas related to projects in learning, this means that students are freely given the freedom by the teacher to convey and express their creativity in each learning project.
