Abstract

Electronic ticketing uses high-tech monitoring cameras to detect and record violations on various road sections. The existence of laws regarding traffic certainly shows that traffic needs to be obeyed by both two-wheeled and fourwheeled vehicles in order to maintain safety and order in traffic. As regulated in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. In it, it is studied and determined that every violation related to traffic space is stipulated in criminal provisions based on violations in traffic and road transportation so that the public can be aware and obey the law. The formulation of the problem in this research is How to Implement TwoWheeled Vehicle Traffic Law Enforcement Through an Electronic Ticketing System in the Pekanbaru City Legal Area and What are the Obstacles in Implementing Two-Wheeled Vehicle Traffic Law Enforcement Through an Electronic Ticketing System in the Pekanbaru City Legal Area. The method used by the author in this research is empirical legal research using observational research or surveys directly in the field. And the nature of this research is analytical descriptive which provides an overview of a research object through the data collected. Data collection tools in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research are that traffic law enforcement through the electronic ticketing system has been running effectively, but there are still obstacles that occur. Obstacles in implementing traffic law enforcement through the electronic ticketing system in the form of unstable or inadequate network quality. This condition results in delays in sending notifications to the public, so that people wait quite a long time to get notifications or BRIVA numbers received for the fine payment process and also don't cooperation of traffic violators because they ignore the provisions given.
