Abstract

The research is entitled "The Effect of Bokashi Kiambang and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Upright Bean Plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)". The aim of the research was to determine the effect of the interaction of Bokashi Kiambang and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth and production of upright beans. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Air Winter Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 3 months from September to November 2022. This research was carried out using a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the Bokashi Kiambang dosage which consists of 4 levels, namely 0,800,1600 and 2400 g/plot and the second factor is the Mutiara 16:16:16 NPK fertilizer dosage which consists of 4 levels, namely 0,12,24 and 36 g/plot. So from these 2 factors, 16 treatment combinations were obtained, repeated 3 times, so in total there were 48 experimental units or plots. Each unit consists of 6 plants and 3 plants were used as samples for observation purposes so that the total plants in this study were 288 upright bean plants. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is concluded that the interaction of bokashi kiambang and NPK 16:16:16 has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment dose was bokashi kiambang 2400 g/plot and NPK 16:16:16 36 g/plot. The main effect of bokashi kiambang dose was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment is a dose of 2400 g/plot. The main effect of the NPK 16:16:16 dose was significant on all observation parameters, where the best treatment was a dose of 36 g/plot.
