Abstract

The research objective was to determine the interaction effect of Rhizobium and Hydrilla verticillata on the growth of peanut (Arachis hypogea L) plants. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11, Air cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted for 3 months, starting from October - December 2021. This study used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was Rhizobium (R) which consisted of 4 levels and the second factor was dried Hydrilla verticilata (H) consists of 4 levels so that 16 treatment combinations are obtained. Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times so that a total of 48 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 8 plants where 4 plants were used as samples, so that the total number of plants was 384 plants. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that: The interaction between Rhizobium and Hydrilla verticilata treatment was significant on flowering age, harvesting age, number of pods per plant, harvest index and seed dry weight per plant. The best treatment was Rhizobium at a dose of 15 g/kg seed and Hydrilla verticilata at a dose of 1.5 kg/plot (R3H3). The main effect of Rhizobium is real on all observation parameters. The best treatment dose is 15 g/kg seed (R3). The main effect of Hydrilla verticilata was significant on all observation parameters, where the best treatment dose was 1.5 kg/plot (H3).
