Abstract

The theory used by the author is the theory of aesthetic value of Dharsono Sony Kartika. This research uses a descriptive method of analysis with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study are data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The conclusion of the results of this study shows that the Minangkabau Bridal Traditional Clothing (Tingkulauk Balapak) at Nurbaya Wedding, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province is a fashion that is still maintained to this day. Clothing that can be classified from clothing, accessories, and accessories which include: Unity seen from the procedure for use, shape, material, motif, color, and part. Harmony is seen from colors, motifs, materials, patterns, shapes, additional decorations, and parts. Balance is seen from the pattern of the stitches, the decoration of motifs and colors, shapes, additional decorations, size, number, and height of the heel. Symmetry is seen from the shape and decoration of the motif equally, the shape of the symmetrical stitch pattern cut, color, shape, additional decoration, size, number, height of the right, and the equal part and Contrast seen from the contrast of colors, the contradiction of the texture of the material, the contradiction of the shape, the procedure for the use of tingkuluak balapak, salendang balapak, batik sandang tanah liek and sesampiang so that the whole on the clothes, accessories, and accessories of the Minangkabau Bridal Traditional Clothing (Tingkuluak Balapak) at Nurbaya Wedding, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province has a beautiful beauty for those who see it
