Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the effect of combined interactions AB Mix planting media and nutrition on the growth of avocado plant seeds on PMK media. This research was carried out at the Faculty Experimental Garden Riau Islamic University Agriculture, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution KM 11, No 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research carried out for 4 months, starting from August to March November 2022. This research was conducted using a Randomized Design Complete Factorial consisting of two factors, the first factor is a combination The planting medium consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely: 100% PMK soil, PMK soil 50% + 50% cocopeat, 50% PMK soil + 50% biochar, and 50% PMK soil + 50% rice husk, the second factor in providing AB Mix nutrition which consists of 4 levels treatments, namely: 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500. Consisting of 16 treatment combinations and consisted of 3 repetitions, so that a total of 48 experiments were obtained. Each experiment consisted of 4 plants, all plants were sampled, so the total plant population is 192 plants. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is concluded as follows: The interaction between the combination of planting media and AB Mix nutrition is real for everyone observation parameters. The best treatment is PMK 50% + Rice Husk 50% and 2500 ppm. The main influence of various types of planting media is real on all observation parameters, where the best treatment is PMK 50% + Rice Husk 50%. The main effect of AB Mix Nutrition is significant on all observation parameters, where the best nutritional treatment is AB Mix with a concentration of 2500 ppm.
