Abstract

Natural disasters that often occur when entering the rainy season are floods. According to the Great Indonesian Dictionary, the meaning of flood is that there is a lot of water and also heavy water, it happens because of the accumulation of rainwater so that it overflows. Floods are a problem that is routinely faced by people who have a place to live on the banks of rivers and in urban areas. Pekanbaru City is one of the areas that is included in the flood-prone area, the material is said that the City of Pekanbaru is included in the red zone related to flooding, judging from the majority of existing areas are swampy areas and riversides. The National Flood Management Agency (BNPB) noted that Pekanbaru City is one of the flood-prone cities on the island of Sumatra. With this problem, the author found a solution for the Pekanbaru Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in building a flood detection model system in the area where the flood-prone point is located, the author uses the NodeMCU microcontroller, HC SR 04 Ultrasonic Sensor, and Water Level Sensor where the way it works is when the water level has exceeded the limit set by the ultrasonic sensor then using a GPS sensor where to detect the location the model will provide a notification in the form of a location point to Telegram. Where devices that can detect flood water by monitoring using locations and using IoT services. With the Internet of Things (IoT) service, flood data collection sends telegram notification alerts to officers. The application of this technology can be an alternative to flood detection systems on the road.
