Abstract

The sample in this research was class VII students at SMP Negeri 10 Pekanbaru. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is calculating the percentage value of the final questionnaire score. Based on the results of observations of class VII students at SMP Negeri 10 Pekanbaru, several problems were found, including students being less motivated, which made students feel bored, students were still found who were not serious when carrying out the movements given by the physical education teacher, creativity carried out by physical education teachers when learning was still lacking, and students lacked attention and interest in physical education subjects because the material presented seemed boring. The test used in this research used a questionnaire or questionnaire with a Likert scale. The sample in this study was 152 students of class VII SMP Negeri 10 Pekanbaru. From the results found in the field regarding the level of learning motivation of class VII students at SMP Negeri 10 Pekanbaru, the results were classified as "Strong" with an average percentage of creativity of 76.70% which is located in a percentage between 61% - 80%.
