Abstract

In a community there are pros and cons with various reasons, some people think that underage marriage is normal, on the grounds that there is no great concern as a result of underage marriage, the rejection seems to deny a religion. Factors that greatly influence the occurrence of underage marriage are pregnancy before marriage, because of the economic status of parents and level of education, apart from the influencing factors there are also consequences that arise from underage marriage, namely such as increasing poverty, increasing violence, not being able to control emotions and not good for women's health and there are still many other impacts that can occur. The main problem in this study is the Factors Causing Underage Marriage in Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency and the Consequences of Underage Marriage in Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This study uses a type of empirical legal research using observation research or field by means of direct surveys to the field, the nature of the research is descriptive analytical and the data collection tools that the author uses are interviews and literature studies Based on the results of the study, it can be understood that the Causal Factors of Underage Marriage in Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency are caused by several factors, including one's own will, lack of attention and affection from parents, economic factors, educational factors, free association factors, lack of prevention from parents, the influence of knowledge on underage marriage, the influence of culture on underage marriage, the influence of mass media on underage marriage, the influence of religion on underage marriage and biological factors. Therefore, the Consequences of Underage Marriage in Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency are the death rate in mothers during pregnancy or childbirth because of their very young age, the end of education because they have to have underage marriage and domestic violence that occurs because of an immature attitude in dealing with their household so that it has an impact on the replacement couple who have underage marriage.
