Abstract
The development of IoT technology has made things easier for the boiler chicken farming sector in Indonesia, but problems in feeding and controlling the cageenvironment often occur. This results in the death of chickens due to extreme conditions. This research aims to design a "Smart Hen-Coop System IoT Prototype" to increase effective monitoring of the cage environment. Problem identification includes inadequate supervision, the impact of temperature and humidity on chickens, and internet connection problems. With a focus on temperature and humidity monitoring, this research limits applications to internet connections, small-scale cages, and environmental monitoring that impacts chickens. The goal is to improve chicken welfare, efficiency and productivity. Benefits include real-time monitoring for farmers, improved production quality, and reduced environmental impact. In conclusion, the prototype was successfully designed and tested well, in accordance with the desired monitoring function.
