Abstract

Marriage between a man and a woman and uniting to live as husband and wife in a marriage bond is one of the characteristics of humans since they were first created. Based on the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Article 1 paragraph (3) states that the State of Indonesia is a State of Law. For this reason, there is Law Number 16 of 2019 concerning Marriage which regulates it more specifically. Marriage is a bond that creates a family as an element in social and state life, which is governed by the rule of law, both Islamic law and positive law.The main issues in this study are what are the factors causing early marriage in Indragiri Hilir Regency, and the influence of early marriage on divorce for households.The research method used is sociological legal research, namely by means of a survey, meaning that this research directly conducts research at the location of the research by using interviews and using a questionnaire. While the nature of this research is descriptive.The results of this study found that: First, the factors that cause early marriage are economic factors, educational factors, family factors, cultural factors, mass media factors, and pregnancy out of wedlock. early marriage divorce are: Psychological impacts such as trauma, depression, difficulty adjusting. economic impact, impact on children, and impact on husband and wife.
