Abstract

Buses are land vehicles designed to transport large numbers of passengers. InterCity Inter-Provincial Bus (AKAP) is an inter-city bus that operates between districts/cities in various provinces using a public bus fleet. However, in its development to date, there are problems, especially in determining the choice of bus PO, such as having to survey several bus POs, there is no guarantee of getting the desired seat, and getting unreasonable prices because there are many brokers/brokers. Therefore, a decision support system is needed that ensures that the information received from prospective passengers is in accordance with the desired criteria and makes it easier for prospective passengers to make decisions. The method used is the simple additive weighting (SAW) method, namely in this method a weight value is determined for each criterion and processed by ranking so that the best choice can be eliminated from several choices. The result of this research is a web-based decision making system used to select AKAP bus transportation in Pekanbaru. This decision support system is able to make it easier for prospective passengers to choose a bus PO without having to evaluate it manually and can be used quickly and precisely. Based on data from respondents who have filled out the questionnaire, the system created has very good performance with a percentage of 85.6% so that this system can be implemented among the community.
