Abstract

Persembahan Dance is a ceremonial dance performed to welcome guest in the Malay Riau. The evolution of persembahan dance has undergone significant changes from its name to its movements. The lack of preservation and learning media has led to a decline in the authenticity of this dance if not studied from the right sources. There is a need for new learning media that can provide information and showing the dance movements using Augmented Reality. This application using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. Testing results show that the application can display 3D animated objects at distance raging 30-200cm, both indoor and outdoor. Additionally, the application can track object location in various place, provided that the light intensity is greater that 1,2 lux. In this research, a system implementation index value of 89,1% was obtained from the calculation results, with a percentage of "Strongly Agree" Thus, the Augmented Reality-based Presentation of Persembahan Dance Learning Media Application can be used as a learning media to facilitate and support learning process of persembahan dance.
