Abstract

This research aimed to determine the contribution of leg muscle strength and agility to dribbling ability among extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 2 Bantan, Kabupaten Bengkalis. This research employed a multiple correlation method with a sample consisting of 11 extracurricular students from SMA Negeri 2 Bantan, Kabupaten Bengkalis. The research instruments included a leg muscle strength test using a leg dynamometer, an agility test, and a dribbling ability test. Data analysis techniques involved calculating the correlation and contribution values of each variable, X1 and X2, to Y. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that: (1) Leg muscle strength and agility contributed to dribbling ability among extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 2 Bantan, Kabupaten Bengkalis, with a correlation value (r) of 0.884 ? rtabel = 0.602 and a contribution of 78.15%. (2) Leg muscle strength and agility contributed to dribbling ability among extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 2 Bantan, Kabupaten Bengkalis, with a correlation value (r) of 0.799 ? rtabel = 0.602 and a contribution of 63.84%. (3) Leg muscle strength and agility contributed to dribbling ability among extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 2 Bantan, Kabupaten Bengkalis, with a correlation value (r) of 0.904 ? rtabel = 0.602 or a contribution of 81.72%.
