Abstract

Efforts to Improve Volleyball Underhand Passing Skills Through the Play Method for Students of SMP Negeri 06 Siak Hulu The purpose of this research was to identify efforts to improve volleyball underhand passing skills through the play method among students of SMP Negeri 06 Siak Hulu. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population of the study consisted of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 06 Siak Hulu. The test instrument used was a rubric-based assessment of volleyball underhand passing techniques. The data analysis technique employed involved calculating the percentage of classical mastery achieved by the students. Based on the research results and data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an improvement in learning outcomes for volleyball underhand passing skills through the play method among students of SMP Negeri 06 Siak Hulu. The percentage of classical mastery in Cycle I was 11 students or 40.74%, while in Cycle II it increased to 25 students or 92.59%.
