Abstract

Hydraulic fracturing is one of the stimulation techniques used to increase the productivity of wells that have lowrate conditions due to formation damage. This technique involves injecting fracturing fluid into the formation at a high injection rate and pressure to produce hydraulic fractures or fractures, which allow oil and gas to flow from the reservoir to the production well. The research location used by the author to compile this research in order to obtain accurate data is at PT. Bumi Siak Pusako in 2 fields. It is necessary to review the hydraulic fracturing stimulation activities, namely by evaluating them in order to determine the factors causing failure and success in hydraulic fracturing work. The method used is Howard & Fast to obtain kf and kavg values, the Cinco-ley Samaniego & Dominique method to calculate the productivity index. This research was conducted with field data sources obtained during hydraulic fracturing work. The field data was evaluated with additional post job reports containing some additional data from initial design simulation results and actual after pressure matching. After that, the IPR calculation before & after frac was carried out. The research results show that 2 wells were successful, as indicated by the increase in fluid rate and oil rate, 1 well failed due to misinterpretation, and 1 well failed due to low net frac pressure and frac fluid efficiency.
