Abstract

One of the problems that disrupts the production process activities is the error when selecting the diameter of the tubing size, so that the optimal production target is not achieved. The X well of the YZ field is a petroleum producing well where this well has a depth of 2,365 ft, the water cut is 80%. This well uses a tubing size of 2 7/8 in (OD). Based on calculations using the Vogel equation, the maximum production rate is 2,739.39 bfpd with an optimal flow rate of 2,191.52 bfpd, where currently the use of tubing size 2 7/8 inch (OD) is not appropriate because it is unable to achieve the optimal production target of well X. Therefore, it is necessary to replace the tubing. Therefore, it is necessary to replace the tubing for well X so that the optimal production target is achieved. Before the tubing size replacement work is carried out, an analysis of the calculation of economic indicators using the gross split method aims to calculate the feasibility and analyze the sensitivity that affects the profitability of changing the tubing size at this well. Based on the results of this study, the optimal value of all tubing sizes is 4 1/2 In and the value of economic indicators is to use a gross split contract of 724,860 US$ for NPV, 222% IRR and POT 0.4 years. Sensitivity analysis was conducted by reducing and increasing by 20% to 80% and 100%. The analysis of economic sensitivity parameters shows that the parameters that affect the calculation of NPV and IRR sensitivity are cumulative production and oil prices.
