Abstract

Education is very important in life, because through education humans become more educated, creative, have a good personality, and have broader and higher knowledge. Education is an effort to empower all potential students by creating a learning atmosphere that suits their respective characteristics. The learning method used in MTsN 1 Siak is a competency-based 2013 curriculum designed to anticipate the needs of 21st Century competencies where creativity and communication skills will be very important. This application aims to build a basic learning media application grouping bacteria with augmented reality to increase the interest of students in teaching and learning activities. Learning media is anything that is used to channel messages that can stimulate the thoughts, feelings, attention, and willingness of learners to learn. The development of technology today has grown rapidly in all fields, one of which is augmented reality technology. Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that combines two-dimensional or threedimensional virtual objects into a three-dimensional real environment and then projects these virtual objects in real time. Applications are made with unity using 3D displays with markeless techniques and using the ARCore SDk library. Based on tests collected at a distance of 5cm to 200 cm, 3D animation can appear, and animation can be displayed outdoors or indoors and can do location tracking anywhere with the condition that it has sufficient light intensity above 6 lux light intensity. As well as the user test results get a score of 86,14% with that the Application of Physics Learning Media 3 Types of Pulleys Using Augmented Reality that is made can help students to learn 3 types of pulleys in 3D animation.
