Abstract
The “BMH” field has produced approximately 1,396 MMSTB from 1975 to 2012, with an oil yield (RF) rate of 31%. To develop the field over the next 20 years, 4 scenarios have been simulated, with oil recovery rates (RF) increasing to 33.7%, 34.6%, 35.4%, and 37.6% for each of them. To obtain optimal benefits, an economic analysis will be carried out by assessing the feasibility of each field development scenario. New regulations in Ministerial Regulation no. 12 of 2020 gives investors or contractors the option to choose between using PSC Cost Recovery or PSC Gross Split. Researchers will evaluate investments with both systems using indicators such as NPV IRR and POT. Sensitivity analysis will also be carried out by considering the decrease or increase in the values of relevant parameters. From the results of the calculations carried out on economic indicators, the Gross Split contract gets a better value when compared to the PSC Cost Recovery contract in each scenario. Scenario 1 PSC Gross Split is the best scenario with NPV, IRR and POT 1.07 MMUS$, 69% and 0.89 years. The parameter that has the most influence on the sensitivity graph is CAPEX followed by oil prices, production size and OPEX on PSC Cost Recovery. Meanwhile, in PSC Gross Split, the most influential factors are oil production and prices, followed by CAPEX and OPEX.
