Abstract
Thematic learning is integrated learning that emphasizes student involvement in learning. This learning involves several basic competencies, learning outcomes and indicators from a subject, or even several subjects. The aim of this research is to create a learning media application regarding surrounding objects in thematic books using Augmented Reality technology using markerless techniques which can help students in the teaching and learning process such as recognizing surrounding objects in thematic books in an innovative and educational way. Based on the tests carried out, animation can be done indoors and outdoors and tracking can be carried out at a test distance of 30 to 200 cm. 3D objects can be displayed. The value of the system implementation results received a score of 88.06% with a "Very Good" index.
