Abstract

Film which is an audio-visual media that can influence a large audience is made for the purpose of being an entertainment medium, propaganda media, educational media to political media. One of the films that serves as a medium for entertainment and educational media is the film 2037. The film tells about the friendship behind a women's prison. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic theory. Semiotics is a science that examines a sign. This study aims to find the meaning of a sign as a marker and sign related to the establishment of friendship. The results of this study are 17 scenes or scenes related to fun, acceptance, trust, appreciation, help and spontaneity in friendship. From the research conducted, the researchers drew the conclusion that friendship with different backgrounds can be established with a sense of empathy and mutual understanding of feelings between friends. Feelings that can understand between friends can make friendship better and intimate by covering each other's shortcomings in each friend.
