Abstract

A wedding is a sacred event where two bride and groom make promises to each other. However, prospective brides and grooms are often hesitant in preparing everything. As time progresses, wedding service providers or what are usually called Wedding Organizers (WO), have become one of the answers in preparing wedding events. Currently, there are quite a lot of WO services in Pekanbaru and each offers advantages and unique packages. To assist in determining decision making, a Decision Support System (DSS) approach is used. The method used is the Weighted Product (WP) method, which is a decision making method using multiplication to connect attribute ratings, where the rating of each attribute must first be raised to the power of the weight of the attribute in question. This method is very suitable to be applied to this decision support system. The result of this research is a web-based decision making system used to select WO in Pekanbaru. This decision support system is able to make it easier for prospective brides and grooms to choose WO services without having to evaluate them manually and can be used quickly and precisely. Based on data from respondents who have filled out the questionnaire, the system created has very good performance with a percentage of 86.14% so that this system can be implemented among the community.
