Abstract

Film is part of the mass media which is very complex in which the film itself consists of audio and visual. The unique characteristics of films are often used for various purposes, in essence films are useful in conveying information, educating, entertaining and influencing audiences, but as the world of cinema develops, films that indulge in sex, crime and violence begin to appear. 2037 is a film directed by Mo Hong-jin with the theme of violence and sexual harassment that occurred to a 19-year-old girl. The purpose of this research is to find out how the representation of the impact of social interaction of sexual violence in the film 2037 is used. This study uses a qualitative content study with John Fiske's semiotic analysis with 3 stages of representation, in the first stage is reality which consists of costumes, behavior, expressions, and environment. . In the second stage, the representation consists of shooting techniques based on the angle and camera techniques based on the distance. And on the third stage is ideology, looking at the social interactions that occur in victims of sexual violence. The results of this study explain that sexual violence greatly affects victims so that it can cause prolonged stress and trauma, besides that victims of sexual violence will hurt themselves and even try to end their lives.
