Abstract
Communication Behavior of Gofood Drivers Against Users of Gojek Online Transportation Services in Pekanbaru City Bustanul Hadi 189110144 The development of information and communication technology is rapidly occurring in the 4.0 era, when information can be accessed easily and quickly through existing technology. Technology makes it very easy for users, such as the go-jek application, which can be used for various things. One of the uses of the gojek application is the gofood service feature that can be used to order food remotely. Through this application users do not need to leave the house, through existing services the food ordered will be delivered by the driver. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type with data analysis techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data reduction and drawing conclusions. This research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru. The results of the research on communication behavior of Gofood drivers to customers show that verbal communication consists of direct spoken language, spoken language via telephone, and written language via messages. Non-verbal communication consists of facial expressions, body language and touch. External communication barriers, namely queues, traffic jams, and customer body odor. Internal communication barriers are happy, sad, and ignorant. If the product ordered does not match the application, the customer will be angry, there are customers who order food products in excess and give them to drivers. This means that the pattern of communication runs according to standards because both of them adhere to ethics and courtesy to each other even though there are some customers who are indifferent. Friendly nature and mutual understanding also occur to give rise to mutual respect.
