Abstract
One of the roots of the problem of urban flooding comes from population growth that is growing very fast, urbanization both seasonal and permanent migration and climatechange which causes more extreme weather so that the intensity of rain that falls is higherand makes the river unable to accommodate rainwater that falls, causing the river to overflow which inundates people's homes. Residential areas along the riverbanks become vulnerable and vulnerable to flooding. However, after the flood disaster, people still live in the area, especially in the river border area, so it is necessary to look at the characteristics of structural adaptation and look at the level of vulnerability and vulnerability. In a Research Study on Structural Adaptation Characteristics According to the Level of Flood Disaster Vulnerability in Settlements Along the Sail River in Pekanbaru City, it is known that the Flood Hazard Level in the Sail Sub Watershed area is divided into 3 levels, i.e. low, medium and high. The flood area with low flood danger conditions has anarea of 138.54 Ha, the flood area with moderate flood danger conditions reaches 1,312.62Ha, High hazard conditions have an area of 5,925.53.8 Ha. According to the level of high, medium, and low vulnerability in areas with very vulnerable levels of vulnerability, they are as follows: For Average Building: Type of wall building, ground floor height of the building 100-200 cm, and number of floors of one storey building. For the function of a two-story building, the lower and upper floors as daily activities. The orientation of the building is back to the river. For Open Space: Embankments are only found in some environments at high and medium vulnerability levels, while at low vulnerability levels there are no dikes. Vegetation is present in all environments at high and low levels of vulnerability, while at moderate levels of vulnerability it is only present in some environments.
