Abstract

This research aims to implement Augmented Reality (AR) technology as a medium for automobile service procedures using markerless methods based on Android. Augmented Reality has become a significant trend in the automotive service industry, enabling service providers to deliver interactive visual guidance to technicians or car owners in need of assistance with vehicle maintenance or repairs. The markerless method is employed to eliminate the need for physical markers in the AR environment, thereby enhancing the usability of the application. This study encompasses the development of an Android application that leverages markerless AR technology to provide comprehensive step-by-step guidance on automobile service procedures. The application allows users to visualize vehicle components, repair instructions, and service guidance through an intuitive AR display. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of AR as a medium for automobile service procedures can enhance efficiency, quality, and user experience in maintaining and repairing vehicles. Furthermore, markerless AR methods based on Android open up new potential in providing easily accessible and user-friendly service guidance. The application of this technology in the automotive service industry can improve productivity and customer satisfaction, while also supporting the advancement of AR technology in various everyday applications.
