Abstract

As a form of meeting the increasingly high demand for electrical energy, alternative energy sources are a viable option to be developed and have been the concern of researchers in recent years. An object that has the potential to be used as an alternative power plant is a gym equipment. In principle, gym equipment is a tool that usually uses to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Gym equipment is a tool used by someone to maintain and improve fitness and maintain ideal body weight. So far, the gym equipment that usually used as an alternative energy source is a stationary bike.Besides static bikes, another gym tool that was that can be as an alternative energy source is TL 008. TL008 gym tool research develops one type of gym tool that is often used to train the heart and several other body muscles. The research was conducted by conducting a detailed design of the development of gym equipment to convert wasted energy into usable electrical energy. research on this tool is to design each component with detailed design on the TL 008 gym equipment to get a picture of the desired result. This research is planned to optimize the tool that has been designed so that this tool is able to convert electricity with good efficiency and is feasible to be implemented in the community.
