Abstract

Bandar Khayangan Lake is an artificial lake located in the Rumbai Pesisir District, Lembah Sari Village. This lake is a quite popular recreation area in Pekanbaru City, especially among local residents. Bandar Khayangan Lake is usually used for various recreational activities, including water sports, fishing, picnics or just relaxing and enjoying the view. However, the Pekanbaru City government is considered to be less serious about optimizing Bandar Khayangan Lake. The natural beauty and charming views of the Bandar Khayangan Lake tourist area are wasted because the facilities and management are not yet optimal. The research method used to carry out the analysis in this research is a mixed method, a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods were used to formulate the design of the lakeside area and the potential and problems in the Bandar Khayangan Lake area based on the results of observations and interviews. The results of the research can be seen from the interval of each element of community perception in the design environment for the arrangement of the Bandar Khayangan Lake area, Lembah Sari Village, with the criteria for the design of the arrangement of the function of area activities, interval length (83.3), supporting facilities for educational activities (67.3), supporting facilities for activities commercial (71.7), facilities supporting recreational activities (86.7), facilities supporting residential activities (69), comfort (76.7), safety (71.7), security (71.7), beauty (69).
