Abstract

The title of this research is "Learning Art and Culture (Dance Performance) in Class X at SMKN 2 Teluk Kuantan for the Academic Year 2021/2022". According to Sanjaya learning is a system or activity that aims to teach students. In the implementation of learning, it is necessary to design the right strategy, namely the way the teacher teaches the whole learning process that is comfortable and guided by the curriculum, syllabus, lesson plans, facilities and infrastructure, methods, and evaluation/assessment. The problem in this research is how to learn cultural arts (dance offerings) in class X at SMKN 2 Teluk Kuantan for the 2021/2022 academic year. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning process of cultural arts (dance offerings) in class X SMKN 2 Teluk Kuantan in the 2021/2022 academic year. The theory in this study uses the theory of transformation and the creative process of dance creation. The method used is descriptive analysis method using qualitative data, namely research conducted by approaching the object under study to obtain accurate data. As for the types and sources of data obtained through primary data from people who know about research and secondary data from books, relevant studies related to research. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and documentation. The Somba Carano dance is a welcome dance and welcome ceremony for guests who are respected and honored, in discussing the contribution of the welcome dance it can be presented to link it with historical and cultural relations.
