Abstract

This study aims to collect data and determine the teaching of Malay offering dance in class VIII 1 MTSs Masmur Pekanbaru. The theory used is Yunus Abidin (2014). The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques through observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. In teaching Malay dance offerings, the teacher is guided by the curriculum, syllabus, lesson plans, facilities and infrastructure, methods, evaluation/assessment. The subjects in this study were 6 people consisting of 1 teacher of arts and culture and 5 students. Teaching materials regarding the variety of basic dance movements based on local dance concepts, techniques and procedures (dance offerings). The curriculum used in the teaching process of offering dance is the 2013 curriculum. The assessment on the teaching aspect of the teacher's offering dance takes daily values, namely notes, assignments, and UH and the values of wirasa, wiraga, and wirama practices. From the results of the assessment, all students scored above the KKM.
