Abstract

The DM-23 well in Field X is a well that has a production rate of 48 BOPD with a small permeability of 8.4 mD, a porosity of 22.5% and a reservoir temperature of 140oF. To increase the permeability value can be obtained by hydraulic fracturing activities. The success of hydraulic fracturing can be seen from the parameters of Fracture Conductivity Dimensionless (FCD) and Fold of Increase (FOI) values. The values of FCD and FOI are influenced by the type of fracturing fluid and proppant used. The fracture geometry formed is influenced by the pump rate. The method used in this research is to conduct 12 scenarios that focus on obtaining the most optimum fracture geometry, FCD and FOI values to be applied to the DM-23 well. The types of fracturing fluids used were W160, YF140LGD AND YF130LGD with viscosities of 114 cp, 277 cp and 428 cp, while the proppant types used badger sand and brady sand sizes 12/20 and 20/40 with pump rate variations of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 BPM. From the research conducted, the optimum results were obtained at a pump rate of 30 BPM with WF160 vs brady sand 12/20. FCD value 10.4 and FOI 3.68. The skin value changed from +9 to -5.
