Abstract

One activity that often causes problems with smooth traffic is school activities. The activity of vehicles entering and leaving the school will disrupt traffic conditions and cause time delays. This can be seen directly at SMKN 1 Pekanbaru, and at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru which is located on Jalan Semeru, which is a primary local road. This research aims to analyze the vehicle towing model at SMKN 1 and SMAN 9 in Pekanbaru City, and analyze the performance of roads in order to find solutions to traffic problems. The method used in this research is the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (1997), and HCM 2000. This method is a reference used in analyzing road performance such as flow value, capacity, degree of saturation, level of road service, and relationship between road service levels. with vehicle speed. The research time was 4 days for the vehicle towing survey, and 5 days for the traffic survey. The results of the classical assumption test are that in the normality test it is not normally distributed, in the heteroscedasticity test there are no symptoms of heteroscedasticity, and in the autocorrelation test there is no autocorrelation. The results of the correlation coefficient analysis (r) are 0.164, meaning the correlation is very low. The analysis result of the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.027 < 0,5, meaning it is in the very low category. So linear regression analysis was not carried out in this study. For the results of the performance analysis on the Jalan Semeru section, the value of the degree of saturation at the peak hour of traffic volume occurring on Monday morning is 0.27 with a service level of B. On the Jalan Kinibalu section, the value of the degree of saturation at the peak hour of traffic volume occurring on Monday morning of 0.41 with a service level of B.
