Abstract
an innovative program in the form of a time-based speed zone that can be applied to regulate vehicle speed around school areas. Application of traffic engineering, including installation of traffic signs and road markings. The aim of this research is to determine the understanding of Zone users. Congratulations on the existence of Zoss, as well as the perception of ZoSS users regarding the implementation of the facilities (ZoSS) implemented at SD Negeri 006 whether they are adequate The method used in this research is to evaluate the characteristics of the introductory behavior, the characteristics of the spreading behavior and the instantaneous speed of the vehicle. The data analysis was tested using normal distribution statistics (Z test value) by comparing the calculated Z value with the Z table, in accordance with regulation No: SK 3236/Aj403/DRJD/2006. And questionnaire analysis uses descriptive methods to measure each answer to the question, and draw conclusions about the answers in the form of graphic diagrams The results of the analysis of the understanding of ZoSS users with the presence of ZoSS are viewed from 3 parameters, namely analysis of delivery behavior, crossing behavior, and instantaneous speed of vehicles at SD Negeri 006. The results of the research show that based on the normal distribution statistical test (Z Test) on delivery behavior and crossing behavior, the ZHit results were obtained. <Ztable means that introductory behavior and crossing behavior at the school is "not safe" with a confidence level of 95%. And for the instantaneous speed of vehicles at SD Negeri 006 Pekanbaru, the results show that the average speed of drivers exceeds the maximum speed set by regulation No. Sk 3236/AJ403/DRJD 2006, namely a maximum speed of 20-25 km/hour. that the user's understanding of (ZoSS) with the existence of (Zoss) is quite low because they do not understand the procedures for driving behavior, good and safe crossing and as a driver they do not understand the meaning of the speed reduction sign when passing through the Safe Zone area. The results of the descriptive analysis of the questionnaire show that the implementation of ZoSS facilities at the school has been effective and adequate, but improvements are needed to the road markings and other supporting facilities implemented in the Selamat Zone.
