Abstract

The development of crime continues to increase along with the development of science and technology. In the past, crime could only be committed directly or actually at the place or object where the crime was committed, for example people gambling, before the development of knowledge and technology, gambling could only be carried out directly by people. Gamblers, but in the current area, gambling can be done anywhere at any time. Without the perpetrators having to meet each other, the author's meaning is that currently there is a development of forms of crime or directly, now gambling can be done indirectly, namely online gambling, or gambling carried out through media, smartphone, or other electronic devices connected to the internet network. In 2022, Higgs domino Has Become quite a concern in The republic of Indonesia, espencially the area that the author will research, namely the jurisdictions of the Indragiri Hulu Police Station, Because several People Have Begun to be found playing higgs domino online gambling players and providers of chips for playing. this research contains the main problem regarding the factors causing the occurrence of higgs domino online gambling in the jurisdiction of the Indragiri Hulu police, and how the Indragiri Hulu Police are triying to overcome it. This research is research using empirical legal research methods in which researchers conduct research related to problems directly in the field, and conduct interviews with related parties, both the Indragiri Hulu Resort Police, and also several higgs domino online gambling players. This research qualitative descriptive in nature in which the researcher describes and writes down the facts researched in the field regarding the prevention of higgs domino online gambling in the Inhu Police Jurisdictions, and explores the factors that cause the occurrence of higgs domino online gambling. That factor that causes online gambling to occur in the jurisdiction of the Inhu police stations is technological advances which are growing rapidly so that online gambling games can be accessed anywhere, apart from that is also driven by other factors such as economic factors, weak supervision, and efforts currently being made are to take pre- emptive actions, and preventive such as appeals such as counseling regarding online gambling, and carrying out law enforcement against perpetrators.
