Abstract

Government regulation number 36 of 2021 concerning wages was created to protect the rights of workers/laborers and provide legal certainty regarding the wages workers/laborers receive. Wages when viewed from the perspective of the workforce, are income to meet the life problems of workers/laborers and their families. When viewed from an organizational perspective, wages are the basic price and costs of the production process of goods and services so thet in setting waages, entrepreneurs are more inclined to keep wages as low as possible. Perhaps to seek greater profits. This research was conducted to find uot how wages are implemented fer woekers at ram peron sabak permai, sabak auh district, siak regency. And what are the factors that influence wages according to PP number 36 of 2021 concerning wages in ram peron sabak permai, sabak auh district, siak regency. The writing method used is the sociological juridical approach method, emphasizing empirical research with the aim of gaining legal knowledge by going directly into the object. The results of the research show that not all the rights of workers/lanorers who work in the ram peron sabak permai business are fulfilled, one of which is regarding workers/laborers who are unable to do their work due to illness experienced by the workers/laborers due to an accident while working which makes the workers/laborers cannot do their work, where wages are given if the workers/laborers is unable to do their work due to illness in accoerdance with article 40 paragraph 3 letter (a) PP number 36 of 2021 concerning wages. The government’s determination of the UMR/UMK sets a minimum wage limit given by employers to workers/laborers as wages or compensation for goods/services provided by workers/laborers. There are many factors that cause workers/laborers income while working, for axample, position, expertise, education and so on. However, at ram peron sabak permai which is located in sabak auh sub-district, siak regency. The factor of income earned by workers/leborers is the amount of palm fruit owned by farmers which is a factor in the amount of income earnd by laborers while working. The less palm fruit the farmer owns, the less income the laborers will earn, and vice versa, if the farmer produces a lot of palm fruit, the workers/laborers will also earn more income. This is based on the tonnage obtained by laborers while working.
