Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based Museum Collection Inventory Information System, focusing on the Riau Regional Museum Sang Nila Utama as a case study. The system addresses the challenges in managing museum inventories, which were previously handled manually using MS Excel and record books, often leading to inefficiencies and errors. The study employs the Waterfall method, encompassing the stages of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system was developed using PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL database, enabling a more structured and efficient management of collection data. It also facilitates museum staff in documenting, maintaining, and tracking collection items, and provides features for the UPT Museum Head to monitor and evaluate inventory data in real-time. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of collection management at the Riau Regional Museum Sang Nila Utama, thereby preserving cultural and historical heritage
