Abstract
Technology that used to only penetrate the fields of transportation, research, or fabrication, has now reached the fields of education, health, food production, agriculture, and plantations. In particular, in the aspect of plantations and agriculture, technology can be used in planting, processing and fertilizing activities. In particular, the water availability factor which is a very important component for the agricultural sector. It needs serious thinking and emphasis from all parties on the factor of water availability in agricultural crops or plantations. Basically, the field of plantations and agriculture water availability is important for plants to live, grow and develop properly. Specifically, this study focuses on grape plants. Grapes are one of the perennial plants with high economic value. In the process of maintaining the vine, the vine does not require any special techniques, only by using standard techniques such as maintaining the quantity of water and fertilizing gradually. In addition, the vine needs sufficient moisture content. It is undeniable that farmers are less interested in planting grapes in the dry season. In this study, the Soil Moisture Sensor and ESP32-Cam were used, the Soil Moisture Sensor is a sensor that functions to detect soil moisture and the ESP32-Cam is a tool for monitoring using a camera. In this context, the use of IoT technology can be an effective solution. IoT allows connected devices to communicate with each other and share data in real-time. By integrating traffic light breakdown systems with IoT technology, officers can gain benefits such as more accurate monitoring, faster response, and more efficient management. Where devices that can detect soil moisture and monitor plants with cameras and use IoT services. With IoT services, monitoring will send telegram notification alerts to farmers. The application of this technology can be an alternative to the moisture detection system in plants.
