Abstract

Child growth is a natural process in which a child experiences physical, cognitive and social changes over time. Education, health and technological developments are important factors inunderstanding the process of child growth. Child is a term that is in the developmental stage before adulthood. In general, "child" often refers to someone who is a child or teenager from birth to 18 years of age. In the Indonesian-English dictionary, toodler means a small child whohas just learned to walk. Childhood is the time between the ages of 12-36 months. This research aims to design and build an Augmented Reality application using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method to help educate mothers of toddlers about child growth. AugmentedReality is a technology that connects two or three dimensional objects in real-time. To create interactive, multi-platform 3D content using the Unity application, and to integrate virtual content with the real world, this research uses Arcore SDK software, then to create animationsfor this research using Blender software. Based on the results of research using Augmented Reality with the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, it can display 3D animation with a minimum light intensity of lux. 3D objects can be displayed at a distance of between 10 cm to 200 cm. So, the maximum distance that can be used is 200 cm outside or indoors and you can track locations anywhere. With the introduction of concepts in AugmentedReality technology, the percentage results of the calculation of the implementation of the parental knowledge system regarding Augmented Reality were 62.67%, while the results of theimplementation calculations were 87.2%.
