Abstract

More and more films circulating on the internet of course make data and information about films very difficult to find the film you want to find. To resolve this, there is a search recommendation feature is needed that will make it easier for searchers to find films based on synopsis and film titles. However, many search features on media for film service providers are not optimal, such as a search not found, the search feature can only search by title and cannot search with a synopsis. In this research, to optimize the search feature, content based filtering and k-nearest neighbor methods are used. In the blackbox test, the recommendation search method based on the synopsis resulted in a classification accuracy of 77.5% and based on the title of the film 92.5%. The search recommendation system using Content based filtering and the Knn method has very good results with an average index value of 88.75% so that this system can be implemented.
