Abstract

Infrastructure development in Indonesia continues to increase, one of which is the construction of high-rise buildings. Certain building constructions generate waste materials or what is commonly called construction material waste. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of waste materials in the largest construction projects, analyze the factors causing the highest waste materials and analyze the handling of waste materials in the construction project of the mother and child hospital (RSIA) Andini. Data collection uses questionnaires and interviews with consultants and contractors. The research method uses descriptive statistics and Pearson moment correlation. Processing and analysis of research data is carried out with SPSS version 26.0. The results of the analysis of the largest waste types are iron, wood and bricks. The first rank of iron with a mean value of 4.40 coefficient 0.984, the second rank of wood with a mean value of 4.40 coefficient 0.984 and the third rank mean 4.20 coefficient 0.927. The factor causing iron waste is design changes with good coordination handling. As for the factors causing wood waste are errors in cutting with good supervision handling and the factors causing brick waste are errors in brick installation for handling supervision is carried out properly.
