Abstract
The fuels currently used by Indonesian people, such as oil, gas and coal, are nonrenewable fossil energies. Briquettes are another means of fuel that comes from coal, sawdust, coconut shells and wood which can be used as fuel. The aim of writing this final assignment is to know the design model for a charcoal briquette printer, what components are needed in a charcoal briquette printer, how much motor power is needed to print 20 kg/hour of charcoal briquettes. This planning begins with conducting a literature study, then collecting the necessary data, then processing the data. So, the rotation required for the screw conveyor (n4) to produce a capacity of 20 kg/hour is 24.88 rpm. In order to get rotation on the screw conveyor. So, it is found that the transmission rotation (n3 n2) is 995.2 rpm, the rotation speed of the drive motor (n1) is 2800 rpm. With a working time of 60 minutes on the charcoal briquette printing machine, the drive motor power has been made to ½ hp with an rpm of 2800. This machine is expected to increase the efficiency of charcoal briquette production with good quality and shorter production time.
