Abstract

Cyberbullying is defined as the use of digital technology or electronic devices such as mobile phones, blogs, websites and chat rooms to send threatening messages as a form of oppression to victims by individuals or groups, causing psychological and social problems. Body shaming is a type of verbal bullying. Body shaming behavior can make a person feel increasingly insecure, afraid and uncomfortable with their physical appearance and begin to close themselves off from both the environment and people. Because individuals who have high self-confidence will look calmer, have no fear and are even able to show their confidence at any time. The purpose of this research is to see how the Post-Cyberbullying (Body Shamming) Experience on Instagram is experienced. qualitative research explains more, describes and analyzes more using an inductive approach. The research method used is qualitative, which prioritizes process and meaning based on the point of view or assessment of the subject. The subjects to be studied are several social media accounts that have experienced incidents of body shamming. The results of the interviews show that from the experiences of the victims interviewed, all of them stated that the experience of the act of body shaming behavior that they experienced put pressure on the victim, with comments about his body and face that made him have a negative self-assessment. In general, victims of body shaming initially feel inferior and a little anti-social. However, the current understanding is that there are also victims who deal with it indifferently and do not pay attention to ridicule or pressure, there are also those who fight frontally. From this research it can be seen that cyberbullying body shaming is not good because it will make communication worse.
