Abstract
A traffic accident is an unexpected and unintentional event involving a vehicle or no other road user that results in human casualties such as (minor injuries, serious injuries, and death) and property losses. The purpose of this study is to obtain the number of accidents in terms of causal factors, black spots, accident rates and the influence of road users in the number of accidents, age, occupation and driver conditions. This research method is the method of observation or direct review to the field on the Ujung TanjungBagansiapi-api Rokan Hilir Road. The results of this study show that the factors causing traffic accidents on the Ujung Tanjung-Bagansiapi-api road section are dominated by human factors amounting to 61 accidents, road factors amounting to 5 accidents, based on age in the range of 21-25 years resulting in 25 fatalities. And the results of the Black Spot accident prone are on two roads, namely the Jumrah - UjungTanjung road section with an Accident Rate of 0.310 followed by the Tanah Merah-Jumrah Kec.road section with an Accident Rate of 0.274. In an effort to reduce the number of accidents, it is necessary to install complete road signs and other supporters.
