Abstract

Asphalt AC-WC (Asphalt Concrete - Wearing Course) is a type of asphalt mixture used as a surface layer on road pavements. One solution that can be used to reduce the use of conventional fillers in AC-WC asphalt mixtures is to utilize waste from abrasion wear tests as a partial replacement for fillers. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the marshall on the use of waste from the results of the abrasion wear test, to determine the optimum bitumen content that meets the characteristics of the marshall in the AC-WC mixture. This research is a trial error conducted in the laboratory of PT. Vira jaya with reference to Highways 2018 (revision 2) as many as 15 samples, and a marshall test was carried out The results of this study with the maximum composition of the waste filler mixture from the results of the abrasion wear test were obtained from a mixture of 50% rock ash + 50% waste from the results of the abrasion wear test with a VMA value of 16.96%, VIM of 16.96%, VFA of 73.15% , Stability 1075.20 Kg, Flow 3.97mm. In the variation of asphalt content with a percentage of 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5%, the optimum asphalt content of KAO was obtained in the right way in this study using the trail error method and the results obtained with 5.5% asphalt gets 15.33% VMA, 67.3% VFA, 5.5% VIM, Stability 825.45Kg, Flow 2.4mm. With a 5% asphalt content, you get 15.78% VMA, 66.6% VFA, 4.0% VIM, 845.73Kg Stability, 2.9mm Flow. With an asphalt content of 5.5%, you get 15.03% VMA, 72.26% VFA, 4.17% VIM, 1011.2 Kg Stability, 3.5mm Flow. With 6% asphalt content, you get 15.7% VMA, 75.6% VFA, 4.8% VIM, 1121.44Kg Stability, 3.6mm Flow.
