Abstract

Concrete is a mixture consisting of Portland cement or other hydraulic cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and water, with or without additives that form a strong and stable solid mass. In this case, some people began to develop inventions by using methods of replacing and adding material, in this case the added material used was bottom ash waste originating from AMP (Asphalt Mixing Plant). This research used a 15cm x 30cm cylinder with a percentage of adding bottom ash waste of 5%, 10% and 15% of the cement weight. The method used for calculating the concrete mix (mix design) is based on SNI 7656-2012. Testing was carried out at 28 days of age. The slump value for normal concrete is 90.3 mm, for concrete using a 5% bottom ash waste mixture the average slump value is 96.6 mm, for 10% bottom ash waste the slump value is 100 mm, for a percentage of 15% the slump value is 104mm. The compressive strength value of normal concrete is 37.367 Mpa, concrete that uses 5% bottom ash waste, the average value of concrete compressive strength is 38.027 Mpa, while with a percentage of 10% addition of bottom ash the average value of concrete compressive strength is 38.593 Mpa, and the percentage of addition bottom ash 15% average value of concrete compressive strength is 38,970 Mpa. So at a bottom ash percentage of 5% the compressive strength value experiences an increase in compressive strength of 3% from normal concrete, then at a bottom ash percentage of 10% the compressive strength value experiences an increase in compressive strength of 5% from normal concrete, and a bottom ash percentage of 15% strength value compression experienced an increase in compressive strength of 6% from normal concrete.
