Abstract

IDENTIFICATION OF CHANGES IN USE OF PRIVATE GREEN OPEN SPACE IN RESIDENTIAL AREA IN TUAH MADANI DISTRICT ABSTRACT The continuous increase in the population of Pekanbaru City has resulted in land use continuing to increase and the conversion of land functions into settlements. Changes in land use in Pekanbaru City certainly have an impact on the environment. The area of green open space is only 5.12% of the total area of Pekanbaru City. Meanwhile, private green open space is 0.34%. This is in violation of the 30% allotment for urban green open space. The phenomenon found in the field is that there are many changes in which the designation of private green open space in the yard changes its function. Housing with a simple type of house that makes a lot of changes to the private green open space of the yard The aim of this research is to find out the form of change in the private green open space of the yard and what factors affect the change in the function of the private green open space of the yard. This study uses a combination method, which is a research approach that combines quantitative and qualitative research methods. By using a descriptive analysis of data tabulation to find out the form of changes in the private green open space of the yard and the confirmatory factor analysis method to find out the factors that influence changes in the function of the private green open space of the yard. The results of this study are the changes that occur in Putri Indah's housing, including the large number of private green open spaces in the yard that change functions into spaces such as parking lots or carports, places of business, various pavements in the yards of the house, and additional room space, space for hobbies, and additional space to fulfill a lifestyle. Meanwhile, for the royal Permata Hijau housing, the changes that have occurred are only hardening and adding a carport, while still leaving the private green space allotment. While the need for occupant space and land area are two factors that influence changes in private yard green open space.
