Abstract

The city of Pekanbaru has a very strategic geographical position, besides that access to the city of Pekanbaru is very easy both from land, sea and air, making many people come to the city of Pekanbaru. The city of Pekanbaru is also a city that has quite a variety of tourism, including culinary tourism, shopping tourism, historical tourism, religious tourism, halal tourism, and others. Based on data from the Pekanbaru City BPS, in 2021 there will be a decrease in tourist visits from foreign tourists and domestic tourists, where in 2020 the number of foreign tourists totaled 5,220 people while for domestic tourists there were 336,235 people who came to Pekanbaru City, this was due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this study the data used were the perceptions of tourists visiting tourist objects in Pekanbaru City, the data was obtained through distributing questionnaires to 120 respondents. These data are used to determine the factors that influence the decision to visit which will be processed using several analyzes including quantitative descriptive analysis, weighting analysis (scoring) using a Likert scale and factor analysis using SPSS. The research results showed that there were 12 indicators eliminated into 8 indicators used to form 4 factors which could explain 55,381% of the indicators used in the study. Then it was found that the Employee Performance Factor was the factor with the greatest percentage of variance, namely 22.471%, which means that this factor was able to explain 44.471% of the total indicators analyzed. Next is the Advertising Factor which is able to explain 13.773% of all indicators. Then there is the Tourist Attractions Factor which is able to explain 10.181% of all indicators, and the Facility Factor which is able to explain 8.955% of all indicators.
